For people who never did any sort of meditation, I am writing these very basic step to start the meditation with.
1. Find a clean and quiet place where you can sit without any distractions. 2. Close the eyes and try to focus on God. 3. Pray to God through the holy spirit. 4. Don't allow distractions to get a hold of you. 5. Do it everyday for about 5 to 10 minutes and increase the duration.
Extra tips
Also watch what you eat; eating slowly is important. You cannot do christian meditation unless you calm yourself down. For inspiration, read works of Christian saints on meditation. You can find such books on any church supply store.
